Post 12: Oct. 15, 2013 Sand Sack Comic 12 Black Camera and Ruby Stone

It’s that time again --- past midnight after Monday means Tuesday updates for FH7 Publishing’s latest illustrated fiction book --- Black Camera and Ruby Stone! The images are then mixed with short stories and poems to make drafts for illustrated books.

Technorati weekly blog popularity rating, 36303 up many popularity ranks from 40878 in about 3 million entertainment blogs. I am climbing up the ranks in blog review land. TMZ is at the Top of Technorati, I guess I need to have paparazzi pictures of movie stars getting drunk next to my comic to make it really popular. There are a few gimmicks I am not yet ready to stoop to in blog popularity.

I am just doing Halloween pun jokes, and no story comics for Halloween this year. After this month I will return to posting my own stories in between pun gag jokes. I started putting pun jokes into the mix of my story comics to solidify their “comedy comic” status. Yet my writing time is limited this month, so I only have time for the comedy comics for a while. The art is easier to draw gags than art that demonstrates a storyline. This week’s comic also marks my dive into the sorted world of “My Little Pony” art collage styled artwork. I can’t figure out why the net is covered in My Little Pony styled art lately, and I don’t want to know. All I know is that I felt a strange joiner urge, and when one of my jokes called for a dark horse, it turned out pony style. Jet black, no logo, laser white eyed, like a witch’s familiar transformed into a pony (in my short stories animal transformed witches have light shine out of their eyes.) but slightly pony styled. Odd it is that images sometimes take on a will of their own. Art never exists in a void, and the style of the times does leak into many forms of expression. It was fun to try, but don’t plan to make ponies reoccurring characters.

Reviews: This week’s Mega Comic Monday Review is the online comic “15 Minutes of Fame”. I am a big Andy Warhol fan from back in the day, and “15 Minutes of Fame” was a big catch phrase to him. So the name caught my eye at once.
It is posted at The Duck web-comics. The big news here being Yay! It’s back online! The server was down for a VERY long while. I had comics posted there that I had NOT cross posted other places. I was liking posting there. Allan Moore himself recommends it as one of the best sites for making your own comic at E-How. So why did it go down? Their Facebook had a great deal of melodrama and gossip posted to it constantly. Heaven knows that they showed enough advertisements on there to be making money. Yet part of it was that content was switching greatly to their new DeviantArt forum. That stayed going in the shut down, and is still going strong.
So I picked “15 Minutes of Fame” to review this week, because it is very much the sort of strange thing you see on The Duck. To celebrate the forum’s return to life. It is an odd side project of the Pirate and Ninja comic of several other online series like “Another Civil War Comic T Fantasy |15 pages |last: July 6 2011 |0 likes There will be pirates. There will be ninjas. There will be Civil War once again on Drunk Duck! ... By the way: Hi! I'm Poul!” This non-American born individual writes English well for a non-native. He is self described here: “Hey! Wellcome to my Drunk Duck profile. I want to apologize for all spelling errors in the profile text. My English spelling SUCKS. I'm a 17 year old guy from Denmark. My birthday is the 14 august. As you might can gess I love comic's. I'm a huge fan of the Drunk Duck Civil War (I'm with Riot).”
So that is part of the big fun with The Duck web-comics. Any comic can be there, and I do mean any comic! You do not need to speak English, you do not need to have super money, you do not even need to give your drawings words. It is a truly liberated art forum that I missed in its absence.

Reviews: This week’s Super-comic Saturday Review is the online comic Dungeon Hordes. One of the more fun hobbies on the net is posting comics. Even a stick figure saying nothing will count as a posting. This week marks my realization of just how much better DeviantArt has gotten for comic posting. I first started using it in 2008, and wow it is so much better now it is amazing! Dungeon Hordes was one of the “white rabbit” comics that I followed down the rabbit hole online this week to see just how much more amazing the features have gotten in the break I took using DeviantArt. Part of my good impression of the comic comes from it being well posted on DeviantArt’s new forums.
Dungeon Hordes is a very funny gaming comic. It pokes fun at the many Hobbit book style standards of the table top and online video game world. Wizard, Warriors, Rangers, and Rouges have been known to take themselves way too seriously in games. Letting off a bit of steam when gaming by laughing is half the fun, and gaming comics show that off well. In the latest comic storyline in Dungeon Hordes, fighters bash lawyers and dive into piles of gold. He is self described here: “Jonathan Murdock Artist | Hobbyist | Traditional Art Hi my name is Jonathan and I'm the creator/writer/drawer dude of Dungeon Hordes! My art training comes from boredom at school and doodling on the side of work assignments and my folders. After that I started making mini comics for my Friends And now I draw Dungeon Hordes!” - http://www.dungeonhordes.deviantart.com/ Pretty much all gamers are now becoming part time cartoonists, and the web is accommodating them well on sites like DeviantArt.

DeviantArt is indeed the new Art-Myspace. It shows the latest uploads from around the world in the log in screen. It has a wild assortment of scanned and computer made images. Now you can even upload written works with poems, short sayings, and very short stories in writing that become a little animated scrolling gif images. Music artists can even include their music cover art. It is branching many art genres.

DeviantArt has now improved socially in other ways for a near Art-Myspace style feel. Art is now able to be posted in “groups” so it is far more likely to be seen beyond the log in screen. Now you can see journals on the main page, and even see when people have mentioned your user name online. These groups help sort artists by style from My Little Pony, Nature Art, and now even comics can be found more easily. Dungeon Hordes posts to such comics groups as Comics Underground, Strips o Rama, and Cartoons and Comics. I noticed many other comics doing this as well, and it gave me some great ideas for my own comic promotions. I wished I had know how much better it was at showcasing art! I would have started posting there more often. I give this comic, and it’s DeviantArt page a good review.

Post 11: Oct. 8, 2013 Devil Eggs Comic 11 Black Camera and Ruby Stone
It’s that time again --- past midnight after Monday means Tuesday updates for FH7 Publishing’s latest illustrated fiction book --- Black Camera and Ruby Stone! The images are then mixed with short stories and poems to make drafts for illustrated books.

Technorati weekly blog popularity rating, 40874 up 4 popularity ranks from 40878 in about 3 million entertainment blogs.

I am no longer finishing a new comic book of comics and cartoons mixed with short stories and poems for Halloween. I am therefore just doing Halloween jokes, and no story comics for Halloween. I plan to draft a new one this year, but not by the Halloween. There have been a million family emergencies I had not anticipated, and so I have had less time for creative writing this year than last year. It has limited my time for book drafts. Too bad the deadline got blown. There are many parties and concerts that I am going to this Halloween, and so handing out advertisements for a new book would have been really easy at this time of year. That was not to be!

That is why I promoted Halloween on Kickstarter as a deadline. Kickstarter cash could have really helped me keep that deadline. It is obvious spoiled rich kids and retirees use their trust funds and 401ks to make fake accounts on Kickstarter to look like “fans” and donate to themselves. There is no room for real creative projects on there that are not just recycling and flaunting their rich daddy’s money they already had before “asking” for “donations”. Minus a HUGE Amazon fee for a so-called “NONPROFIT”, art loving, and “donation” driven site. Oh well, it was fun to try a new advertisement gimmick, and I think I will try Indieagogo at some point. Yet I now know to be weary for the “donation” pyramid scam with a new paint job when I see it.

Sometimes spam wears a cleaver paint job.
It is hard to stay inspired to do anything fun when it seems people use art as a way to bleed you dry for cash in new ways everyday. The con artists who claim to be “art promoters” yet create many more money pits for no real profit really get me down some days. I will keep posting my comics and other art projects as a hobby because I like them, and most of the time my hobbies get good response. However, in the end the only real way we profit from things is to feel emotionally gratified that we did what we needed and wanted to do.

It’s that time again --- past midnight after Monday means Tuesday updates for FH7 Publishing’s latest illustrated fiction book --- Black Camera and Ruby Stone! The images are then mixed with short stories and poems to make drafts for illustrated books.

Well, for some strange reason The Duck web-comics online has dropped dead. I mean super-dead! I was cross posting there. They had a “little crash of a week or two” and never went back online! So I have revived my old DeviantArt account for cross-posting. http://maelstromgrlie.deviantart.com/ Suddenly that site updated it’s features, and has much of the old “MySpace Style” chat. They have “groups” and “Friend Pages” so you can see who are fans of other artists you like. It has bloomed to soaring life just as The Duck comics fizzled out. Many musicians and DJs I know have put their album art up there as a promotion. Even non-visual artists are getting in on the act. I have been posting there for years, and with few hits. Suddenly, my page has net traffic flow like Niagara Falls. Thus is the luck of the Internet, and you never know how fates will turn. A second runner up for the “Just Like Old Myspace but Better” challenge and a second place I now post is Gaia Online. http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/poedaughter7/36237559/ I know, it has a MMO video game section. But it also has an art section! You can get in game gold for voting on comics, paintings, and poems! You win publishing awards easily there! It also gives you a very Myspace style profile.

Post 7: Sept. 19, 2013 Dancing in the Light Comic 9 Black Camera and Ruby Stone

It’s that time again --- past midnight after Monday means Tuesday updates for FH7 Publishing’s latest illustrated fiction book --- Black Camera and Ruby Stone! The images are then mixed with short stories and poems to make books every three months.

Recently I ran across an old medieval drawing of witches dancing around a cauldron on a fire. It struck me that the cauldron looked a great deal like a disco ball. It was interesting to me in a sort of a way. “The more things change, the more things stay the same.” People in the old world, and people of today loved to be Dancing in the Light. So I drew the cartoon about it.

Unfortunately this weeks “Web-Comic Wednesday” and Tuesday comic update are extremely late. They are on Thursday/Friday instead of Tuesday/Wednesday due to doctors appointments. I have an old back injury, and some birth-defect health problems that demand frequent doctor visits. No matter how much a write a “cushion” of postings, I sometimes just can’t get to the computer to post it. I know, I know, I deduct points on my comic reviews if a comic does that, and here I am doing it! Yet there is an old saying by John Lennon “Life is what happens when you are making other plans” meaning sometimes life just does not go as planned. A perfect syndicated cartoon like Garfield does not miss a post. However, this is a blog comic, and is not a huge syndicated newspaper cartoon with a large staff people all working on postings. The downside is some of my posts are late. The upside is that I could put controversial crap in here that you would NEVER see in Garfield. I could draw a dog on fire if I wanted to do a dead dog. In fact, my last comic had two dead dog road kill BBQ jokes. Take THAT Garfield! (They are in my comic archive last 30 at FH7publishing.com) Oh well, it will average out in time.

Reviews: Where do all the web-comics come from, and why do people write them? It turns out many are attempts at college students to keep in touch with their old friends. Why just blog about your day, when you can toss in a drawing too? Unholy Adventures started out as a self-depreciating joke by a law school student about lawyers being evil. A sort of “Devils Advocate” pun gone into a comic strip style blog. In her first series, the Angels were a crime fighting team, and they recruited lawyer devils. Their many adventures were converting them to the side of goodness. The author notes in her blog that she comes from a long line of successful lawyers, and grew up hearing many “evil lawyer” jokes. The comic has evolved into a life long student’s many jokes on student life. A prime example is the comic here http://unholyadventures.com/?p=270 called “final papers, a tentative schedule”. Day 12 she only needs to do 3 pages a day, and her words are well paced. Two days before due date and she has procrastinated, her paper becomes word vomit! Yea! This is a student who understands how real papers are written. You start out with the best intentions, but real life does not always work on an error free schedule. In her blog notes she says, “You’d think that foreseeing this would motivate me to stop procrastinating. Nope.” Ha ha, super funny! Some people think that student life is all about lunch on campus with co-eds and keg parties. Nope, students have to work hard to get the deadlines done. Way to stand up for student life!
It is self described here: http://unholyadventures.com/?page_id=2 “About the Writer/Artist/Person To Blame For This Comic: Hallie Jay Pope never went to art school, and doesn’t really know what she’s doing. In addition to subjecting the internet to her cartooning attempts, Hallie also enjoys tap dancing and practicing kung fu. She currently lives Cambridge, MA and is slogging her way through law school.”
I like this comic because it defies the stereotype that all online cartoons are drawn by art school kids of doom, weird-os, or stoners. Far too many drawings on the web are nothing beyond the curves of pleasant females. The other stand-by seems to be fighting, martial arts style. There is nothing shameful about the natural human form, but it is nice to see content beyond the realm of nudity or high kicks.
Here is a successful female lawyer doing regular drawing. All the online comics in this stoner-stereotype are super curvy girls having ultra sexist catfights. I have been on “The Duck” web-comic, and yea those comics exist. Oh how they exist.
Yet there are strong female role models out there in the online comic world. Many are the work of brainy students. They realize that cross posting other people’s cartoons is fun in blogs and Facebook. There is nothing wrong with noticing other people’s comedy. However, you should put your own work up there too, so that you can get in on the publishing credit. Remember to tell your own experience at work and school, friends and family, in your own online art. Don’t just repost the latest ultra trending joke meme on Twitter. Social media can be powerful for your own ideas, and not just a soap box for re-hashing other people’s thoughts. Put these jokes into books once in a while, and you may make some money off all the shop-a-holics on the net.
The one issue is that she does not keep an “update schedule” for her comics. It is a pretty big deal to do things mostly “regularly posted” to fully be considered “web-comic worthy” so that is a tiny problem. That is why my review is not a full five stars. Still, I give it a good review, check it out!

Big news this week, FH7 has a Zazzle store! Buy logo T-shirts, coffee cups, fridge magnets, whatever you like with the logo. http://www.zazzle.com/fhseven Use the FH7 home page to request new merchandise. This week I return to the pun comic, story comic, pun comic alternation pattern. It is my theory that the story comics were not making a solid enough “joke comic” punch line format. So now the illustrations have more of a traditional joke format to fully qualify as funny pages. The comics are now archived here: http://blackcarstone.wordpress.com/ - New comic-only archive.

Post 4: August 27, 2013 Suck Grape Comic 3 Black Camera and Ruby Stone

It’s that time again --- past midnight after Monday means Tuesday updates for FH7 Publishing’s latest illustrated fiction book --- Black Camera and Ruby Stone! The images are then mixed with short stories and poems to make books every three months.

This week I learned why Dr. Seuss always had so many great physics defying plants as the background of his books. Really weird plants are fun to draw! Actually, according to the plot of this book ghosts are making tentacles of black ectoplasm happen all over the background. I guess it can be a hybrid of both, and the reader can imagine what they want it to be. Also, the characters have power force fields too, so this gives me license to draw wavy lines as the entire background of comics. No need to draw detailed light and shadow when I forget a drawing deadline! This comic also firmly establishes the new Black Camera and Ruby Stone series pattern of pun-comic, plot comic, pun-comic alternation. This helps the series stand alone as an online comedy comic, but mix into book plot when placed in books. It was a calculated format change from my last set of book illustrations. The comics are now archived here: http://blackcarstone.wordpress.com/ - New comic-only archive.

After reviewing some famous poems from the 1600s, it was remembered that "Living well is the best revenge" - George Herbert. So FH7 Publishing is going to do writing and crafts projects this year.
It’s that time again --- past midnight after Monday means Tuesday updates for Comics --- Black Camera and Ruby Stone! The comics are then mixed with short stories and poems to make books every three months.
Post Blog: My last set of cartoons called Poe and the Whale got long enough for a book when mixed with short stories and poems, so it is now fully a book. It is listed on both my webpage and Amazon for preview and purchase. I wasn’t feeling well when I wrote that last one, but this one should be a bit more cheerful. I would like to point out “The Simpsons” has Homer strangles Bart every two episodes, so not all popular art is happy and un-dark. H.R. Giger’s earlier comics the “Atomic Children” were fully dark and it did not stop people from looking at them. The new cartoon and book are called Black Camera and Ruby Stone the cartoons will be in the same format, and will update on the same weekday schedule for Tuesdays. If you are awesome you will buy them both.

Webcomic Wednesday and Super-Comic Sunday Reviews
Elspeth for Webcomics Wednesday Reviews

Welcome to Web-Comic Wednesday, and Super-Comic Sunday Reviews! My Technorati rating this week is 21035 at Frozen History Seven Publishing out of about 2 million comic blogs. It is listed here: http://technorati.com/blogs/directory/overall/page-878/ I am rated Authority: 104 in Comics Reviews down 1 from last week. It is a big deal in unpaid hobby-blog obsession land. I had to beat out 3 small Comic book stores on reviews for that vast honor so yea… there is that to think about.
Name of Comic: Elspeth
Grade: So far so good **** four stars.
Location of Comic: http://www.theduckwebcomics.com/Elspeth/5362842/
Username of Creator: Queen Simia – Username on the Duck Webcomics
How I Found It: My web-comic is also gets cross-posts to its “free to use” sister syndicate, I don’t dish out what I can’t take!
Major Themes: Fantasy, magic, humor based on magic.
Days of Update: Tuesdays
Will it Continue: Outlook rather bad, last post has been Sept. 8 2011
More government melodrama has happened with a great deal of my personal legal paperwork. My paintings, comics, and drawings for FH7 Comics are on hold until I can get legal and health insurance issues resolved. I need to do daylong waits for appointments in offices when I used to have drawing time, to make a long story short. Until that time, I will only be posting Sunday and Wednesday reviews of online comics due to time constraints at my main blog http://fhseven.com/ on Wordpress.
Review: Here is the sad and forlorn tale of the webcomic that ended before it’s end. Elspeth ends mysteriously at the comic here: http://www.theduckwebcomics.com/Elspeth/5362842/ and then never posts again. It is not the end of the story! The series just stops! With clean lines, good story telling, and attractive characters it seems odd that it leaves off at such a standstill. The basic storyline is that Elspeth is an Orc weapons merchant traveling around Elf lands. She gives, sells, and trades weapons to the Elf people who consider her a “lower race” in a world of mages and magic. Humans conspire to help her overcome some of the Elves that took her magic necklace. And that is it! We never know if they get the Elves. Odd, to say the least! A sad end to a pretty lady Orc. My favorite comment is “Airman at 4:37AM, Dec. 1, 2009 This comic is fantastic. Is it weird that I think a half-orc is hot?” It is hard to make a girl with walrus teeth and incredible hulk arms look hotter than an elf chick. Yet this comic manages to do it. Sadly, when people are looking at a webcomic it is a “work in progress” when they are seeing it. This means it has not been put into a format like a fully published book. There is no guarantee that the author will ever give an end to the story. A one of the reasons the art form is not more popular with fans. I say it is a great comic and great effort, even for an unfinished work. I give it a good review, go check it out!

Webcomic Wednesday and Super-Comic Sunday Reviews
Death G Reaper for Supercomic Sunday Reviews

Welcome to Web-Comic Wednesday, and Super-Comic Sunday Reviews! My Technorati rating this week is 21035 at Frozen History Seven Publishing out of about 2 million comic blogs. It is listed here: http://technorati.com/blogs/directory/overall/page-878/ I am rated Authority: 104 in Comics Reviews down 1 from last week. It is a big deal in unpaid hobby-blog obsession land. I had to beat out 3 small Comic book stores on reviews for that vast honor so yea… there is that to think about.
Name of Comic: Death G Reaper
Grade: So far so good **** four stars.
Location of Comic: http://www.drunkduck.com/Death_G_Reaper/5434587/
Username of Creator: Emma Kate Ramsey
How I Found It: My web-comic is also cross-posted to the Duck, I don’t dish out what I can’t take.
Major Themes: Fantasy, magic, humor based on magic.
Days of Update: Tuesdays
Will it Continue: Outlook rather good, but has only 19 entries
Selling Points: I try not only to review the big names of the webcomic world, but also the start ups. It shows off just how hard the work is of coming up with fresh comic ideas, inking them, and getting them down. The expensive pros make it look easy and funny, with hi priced comics software, drawing tools, and comics done more by the computer and nothing by hand. That is part of their skill, they make it look effortless so people get lost in the story quickly. Yet getting ideas, and writing them down, making them funny, and doing it with witty art is actually very hard to do. This weeks comic shows the fresh side of the spectrum, “Death G Reaper”. I first got into this story due to the magic evil bottle that a student collects. I collect bottles! Basically the bottle is a magic item Warehouse 13 style, and all sorts of havoc ensue. This comic has a grim reaper, Terry Prachett style with comedy behaviors a sort of light hearted dark character. He ends up unemployed, and job hunting between heaven and hell. This hand drawn comic is excellent for capturing a primal nature of manga. However, the lettering needs help. The last panel at http://www.drunkduck.com/Death_G_Reaper/5434587/ makes a joke out of the Reaper being *squished* out of the panel. Unfortunately, it really is hard to follow the story with the text doing strange things. In my comic, I pre-write the story in word processing and cut and paste it to avoid this sort of text problem. Hand drawn lettering takes a great deal of effort and skill. I foresaw this problem as I started making hand drawn comics, and went for a postmodern art-collage cut and paste style moment one fearing the “character squishes”. However, I must say I envy the crap out of this artist’s ability to draw both male and female characters with ease and good proportion. The lines are smooth, and the people are well proportioned. If this writer upgrades to more computer driven text graphics, the lettering will be auto formatted, and the problems will be fixed. Yet hand drawn has a charm of original organic art many readers like, so they may keep it this format. Time will tell. I like this comic. I am giving it a positive review! Fhseven dot com…

Webcomic Wednesday and Super-Comic Sunday Reviews
Legend of Bill for Supercomic Sunday Reviews

Welcome to Web-Comic Wednesday, and Super-Comic Sunday Reviews! My Technorati rating this week is 24284 at Frozen History Seven Publishing out of about 2 million comic blogs. It is listed here: http://technorati.com/blogs/directory/overall/page-996/ I am rated Authority: 103 in Comics Reviews down 1 from last week. It is a big deal in unpaid hobby-blog obsession land. I had to beat out 3 small Comic book stores on reviews for that vast honor so yea… there is that to think about.
Name of Comic: Legend of Bill
Grade: So far so good ***** five stars.
Location of Comic: http://legendofbill.com/
Username of Creator: David Reddick
How I Found It: Google
Major Themes: Fantasy, magic, humor based on magic.
Days of Update: Monday and Thursday
Will it Continue: Yes, it many years old with regular updates.
Selling Points: I did not need to read the first few and last few comics to “get into” this series. I have been reading it for years. This comic reminds me severely of another comic book I used to collect before the webcomic days, by one of the comic creators in the MAD series. “Gru” was the loveable Conan-like bad fighter who goes on adventure failures around the world. He is much like “Hagar the Horrible” in comics. Bill is alarmingly like “Gru”, yet the warrior parody has infinite variations, and never seems to get stale. He travels the world on wild adventures seeking adventure, tavern barmaids, to defeat evil wizards and witches. It has many of the Tolkien like archetypes. Yet this warrior often has to work desk jobs, fails with the bar maids, and is clueless in adventure. Bill is more likely to raid the fridge then a dungeon hold. The witches are equally likely to be vile crones or sexy seductive types. Let’s face it, the curved girls sell. Yet it does not skimp on the story or solid punch lines. Reddick is a master of the three panel gag comic. He is worth studying just for his ability to pack a cartoon square with so much well placed art. His text bubbles do not suffer, as he evolves into increasingly complex images in each comic. This comic is one of the survivors of the webcomic world, and I say give it a read. I like this comic. I am giving it a positive review! fhseven dot com.

Webcomic Wednesday and Super-Comic Sunday Reviews
Welcome to Web-Comic Wednesday, and Super-Comic Sunday! I have been doing reviews on web-comics for a while on the net, and now I have made them a regular feature on FH7’s main hobby blogs. Here is the deal, in basic form. I read the first 3 and last 3 posts on a web-comic (or more) to get the feel. Then I report what I think, and what was good. I am likely not going to say many bad things, if I read it to give a review. Stan Lee has more movie money with adaptations of his comic books than Marilyn Monroe ever earned at this point, so web-comics may be the new screen play of the Internet Age. My Technorati rating this week is 23970 at Frozen History Seven Publishing out of 2 million comic blogs. I am rated Authority: 103 in Comics Reviews down 1 from last week. I had to beat out 3 Canadian Comic book stores on reviews for that vast honor so yea… there is that to think about.
Name of Comic: Puck
Grade: So far so good **** four stars.
Location of Comic: http://www.puckcomics.com/
Username of Creator: ElectricGecko
How I Found It: It was linked to comics on The Duck WebComics my favorite online syndicate. ( It was given high ratings by Allan Moore at E-How.)
Major Themes: In the Author’s Words, it states “Puck is a weekly webcomic that, in the words of one fan, is "mostly irreverent humor concerning a pretty girl with freckles and a hot she-devil who wears fan-service costumes." Surreal fantasy slice-of-life crazy-type stuff about the world's funniest redhead! Updates Tuesday.” A supernatural comic, with female dominated themes not overly gamer related. A rarity in supernatural comics.
Days of Update: Tuesday – Seems to be when most people have free time.
Will it Continue: Yes, it is at comic 88 past the danger zone of 30 comics. Most people crap out at that level.
Selling Points: Is the comic that had a good button introducing me to http://inkoutbreak.com/ a fun way to get good web-comics in your e mail. This comic started out as a student newspaper gag strip, and has come a long way. The strip portrays women as far more than objects, an unfortunate fall back of the uncreative brains in the web-comic world. The characters have issues, problems, and attitude yet the gags are good. Oddly, the new and older strips all seem to have mothering as a main theme. Having a knack for female skills, or an utter lack of talent. Oddly, Tolkien had no strong female characters. Supernatural meets the mundane is always a great source of comedy gold, and this one really meets the standard. I like this comic. I am giving it a positive review! fhseven dot com…

*Note, these are older hobby drawings from some years ago that me and my roommates are reposting now.*
It’s that time again --- past midnight after Monday means Tuesday updates for Comics --- Poe and the Whale!
Post Blog: I had to skip my posts last week due to a bad e-mail and blog hack on one of my journals. After getting booted out of several systems, I did not post. I wanted to make sure things were resolved before hours were spent sticking items on a webpage. After people spend hours and hours getting the cropping just right, the image scanned just the right way, and the journal set up with just the right titles and information they are happy with it. They post for months this way. So it is sort of rude to have the information delete suddenly with no warning! But that is just what they did! Unfortunately, I have had this sort of thing happen before. When you put things on freebie blogs and email, their only incentive to keep you going is showing you advertisement. They can shut you down at the vaguest hint of problems no matter how unsupported, and even not lose a fee. Hotmail got hated for doing this often to people. It is something people forget after they use the net for a while.
