Post 13 Third Doorway to Catland photo of the day.
This photo is called “Third Doorway to Catland”. It is the third tunnel near to my house that goes to the tunnels favored by neighborhood cats. The sunlight on the grass at sunset really gives this one a nice glow. The direction I am trying to go in with these nature photos is to do a comparison contrast collection of beautiful nature in bloom moments, contrasting with graveyards, headstones, and death art. It will be a sort of comparison/contrast photo essay. However, there are far more nature parks near my house. So the volume of “nature photos” will be far in excess to the “spooky grave” photos for the first section. I live by the lake, so I am sure graves would be washed away in floods if they placed many of them nearby. I used to live in New Orleans for many years, and they have elaborate decorations in compensation for the problems watery ground causes on many types of graves. Yet Texas has more above ground options, and so they stick to the traditional grave routes. Yet Texas graves have a rich look and tradition all their own.
