Photo: Dog in Nature
This is post 8 of my nature photo a day project. My Chihuahua dog Coco helps me take photos. Here she is on a walk. Yes, my dog is smaller than the cat, and the cat often tries to beat her up for food. I therefore have to feed them separately and the cat now wants to live outside most of the time. It is a bit of a hassle, but the cat loves to live outside in the tunnels two blocks from my house catching tunnel lizards. There is a cat city in the tunnels, and they socialize there like it is a party club. I always see two or three cats run in there at a time. Long haired cats can deal with the outdoors a bit better than short haired tiny toy dogs, so I have to split up their indoor and outdoor time to avoid a violent Loony Toon adventure in my house. My dogs are pretty much the inspiration for taking so many nature photos. They cry and howl when I they don’t get enough walking, and when outdoors you see many things that are beautiful in nature. Soon after getting dogs, I started keeping a camera with me for walks. It becomes an image life journal in ways you would not expect.
