Post 6 Purple Splash Flower photo of the day.
Photo: Purple Splash Flower
This is post 6 of my nature photo a day project. The purple turned out really vivid on this one. There is on purpose a high contrast in focus with the main flower, and background grass is left fogged. My high school photojournalism teacher used to always have us do projects with this technique called “depth of field” with fogged backgrounds. This photo was taken in spring, and it is almost that time of year again. Spring is a good time of year to take photos outside in the country by the lake. Baby animals prance around looking cute. Flowers bloom, bugs have colored wings, and birds dance and sing for each other. You can barely wave a camera around without catching a good nature photo. Now that the evil Cedar pollen overkill has lessened in the Austin, TX area I can get outside a bit more for photos. However, this is an older photo I am re-posting until my more recent spring flower photos are processed.
