More on the New Church.
This is a picture from my old church as we go to a new church this weekend. Yes, I do still go to church on the weekends with my family, and donate in the collection box. Just because I tap my toes to a rock song now and then does not mean I know nothing of church and charity. I had an old boss who used to demand that I read Bible quotes he copied, and that I read articles by his most loved mega-church Baptist pastor every morning. I quit the job because he made me very angry with this action. This made me unhappy because A) It takes for granted I know nothing of the Bible already. I graduated from Catholic University where we HAD to take religion classes each semester. I likely know far more about the Bible from my many religion classes I had to take, and made A & B honor roll grades in than he knows. B) I already HAVE a church that I go to that is Catholic. Since when is forced conversion to another faith a normal part of job activities in the United States? Freedom of religion is pretty much PART of the Bill of Rights that is NOT dead. I'd hate to see that one go the way of "Right to Privacy", and never be enforced again at work.
